HS-PS4-2Digital and Analogue Signals

Performance expectation

Evaluate questions about the advantages of using a digital transmission and storage of information.

What NYSED says about assessing it

Clarification statement

Examples of advantages could include that digital information is stable because it can be stored reliably in computer memory, transferred easily, and copied and shared rapidly. Disadvantages could include issues of easy deletion, security, and theft.

The three dimensions

Every item written to HS-PS4-2 has to assess all three dimensions together, not the content alone. This is the structural change that made older practice material stop matching the exam.
